Travelling gives us the chance to see things with our own eyes that normally we would never find out about if not from traveling; especially traveling out of our comfort zone (something I encourage everyone to do). For example, if you can find the time, do as much tear-out as you feel competent to handle (and agree with your contractor about the dollar value of your labor so it doesn’t show up on your bill).
